The Connecticut Citizens Defense League (CCDL), a state-wide grass roots organization dedicated to supporting second amendment rights, has pledged their support to Tom Foley in his race for the governorship. Scott Wilson, president of the CCDL, released this statement on behalf of the group and its membership:  
 
"As President of the CCDL it is an honor to announce our organization's support and endorsement of Tom Foley for Governor. Tom has publicly expressed his commitment to the Second Amendment, and after conversing with him we believe that he will support citizens that wish to lawfully purchase, sell, transfer, carry and use firearms of all kinds here in the state of Connecticut. Tom has also pledged to correct the red tape associated with lawful firearm ownership and use in the state of Connecticut, which really separates him from any other candidate. "
 
With the election looming in just a few short weeks, the CCDL is pleased to endorse Tom Foley and urges Connecticut citizens who are concerned about protecting their Second Amendment rights to vote for Tom Foley for Governor.
