AN ACT CONCERNING THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR A TEMPORARY STATE PERMIT TO CARRY A PISTOL OR REVOLVER. Purpose: To specify uniform criteria for an application for a temporary state permit to carry a pistol or revolver.
This bill would correct the current situation where local police departments are requiring applicants to submit additional information above and beyond what is required by state statute. Each town has its own process, and as a result the application process has become arbitrary and unfair.
This bill is currently on the Senate calendar and needs to be raised. Session ends on May 9th 2012.
Please email or call your State Senator today and respectfully request that they raise and support this bill. Timing for this is critical. Please do this today.
You can find contact information for your Senator here: http://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/menu/CGAFindLeg.asp Please remember to be polite when speaking to legislators, and to use the bill number and Title.
Thank You For Attending Our Rally!
On Saturday (04/28) we heard from a tremendous line-up of speakers in Hartford. Video footage is available on our youtube page here: http://www.youtube.com/user/ccdlinc
We ask and encourage CCDL members to work with pro-2nd Amendment candidates and help on their campaigns. There are many other great
elected officials that are in office and candidates running for office that we will be identifying soon.
We hope you'll join us at our next General Meeting this coming Tuesday evening in Middletown!
