Legislation Wrap Up: This Legislative session was among the busiest for gun owners in recent Connecticut history, and we are happy to be able to bring you the post session details at our next meeting this coming Tuesday evening. We feel it is essential that as activist gun owners and members of CCDL, we have a complete understanding of where we currently stand with how things worked out this year. So please remain active and join us.
At our Tuesday meeting, and in the upcoming months, among the items on our agenda will be the inclusion of pro-2A candidates running for various seats in upcoming Connecticut elections. This month CCDL is once again pleased to have Daria Novak to speak about 2A issues, and her support of these rights. Daria has announced her campaign for 2nd District of Connecticut US Congress.
Notes of Interest: CCDL has officially signed onto an Amicus Brief along with organizations from other States involving the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. This case affects Connecticut Citizens with regards to the Right to Carry in parts of Colorado (Specifically Denver). The case is Gray Peterson v Charles F Garcia. Full details of the brief will be made available after it's filing on June 13th.
The date has been set for the 3rd annual CCDL Family Picnic this summer. We are scheduled for August 27th at Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford. More details will follow soon. We look forward to celebrating our 2nd Amendment Rights with our members from across the State.
