President’s Report:
Attended 2nd annual family picnic in Stratford.
Attended CCDL fundraiser at WLOPA with pistol and trap shooting contests
Facilitated Emember meeting in Wallingford, where new Emember Jeff Tang voted in
Drafted an action to all CCDL members to contact Kayla Berube from CTGOP to endorse and
 
support candidates
Presented CCDL plaque at WLOPA at annual voting meeting
Went public with endorsements for Jerry Labriola and Tom Foley

Martha Dean still looking for any help she can get right now
 
Events coordinator
Aug 14, 2nd annual family picnic at Boothe Memorial.  Great turnout.
Fundraiser Aug 21, awarded prizes to top shooters and did the raffle.  Scott’s niece won
 
the shotgun tournament, her first time shooting a shotgun.  Raffle brought approximately
 
$6000 profit to CCDL.
Attended Emember meeting
Attended Sept. 10th presented WLOPA with plaque

Thanks to everyone who participated, gave to, worked the events.
 
 
Technology Coordinator:  report to follow (not present)
 
Legislative Advocacy Coordinator Steve Loban has stepped down.  Position is open,
 
interested Emembers and General Members are encouraged to look into this position.
 
 
Public Relations Coordinator: nothing to report (not present)
 
Merchandise Coordinator:
Represented CCDL at all events in August and monthly meeting.
At WPLR fundraiser at Blue  Trails, sold 20 shirts, 4 hats, several pins, donated a shirt to Charter Arms, net $360, turned over to Treasurer at last Emember meeting.
Net income from last general meeting $90
CCDL picnic net income $281
WLOPA fundraiser  sales: 6 magnets, 2 hats, and 7 shirts, net income $150
Total sales from all events in August $881, turned over to Treasurer for net balance of
 
$521.
Net income from Website sales 5 shirts and 1 hat, $120
Net income total $1001.
If any color of T-shirt desired, it can be special ordered.
 
Open Forum:
Henry Zembko introduced himself running for 6th senate district (New Britain,
Berlin, Farmington)
Republicans appreciate CCDL’s support, is easy for members to give support.
We need to go back to protecting our values so we don’t have to go and restore our
 
liberties later.
Henry is against the EPA lead ammo ban
Candidates are happy to talk to anyone in general.
 
Question from E Jonathan Hardy:
A list of pro 2nd Amendment candidates is slow in coming.  Should we put together a
 
committee to find these candidates in a more organized way?  Jonathan Hardy volunteers to
 
be a part of this.
 
President says we have an internal forum we use with many names, but we’re missing names, and in a bit of a disarray right now.  Steve tried to put together the District Coordinator system but it didn’t happen and it wasn’t enough.

LAC position open, seeking inquiries.  If someone has skills or confidence they can do
 
it, interested in talking to you
 
Gun shop "assault" teams
Jonathan Maxson: Has website with all FFLs listed in the country.  This is storefront and
 
kitchen table dealers both.  We need to contact both, can reach more people through
 
storefront but also some through kitchen table types.  Distribute wall placards,
 
pamphlets, cards.  Many kitchen table dealers know lots of gun owners.  Not good response
 
thus far, only about 20% answer the phone or call back, mostly leaving voice messages.
 
Trying to organize the teams by town or area.  Jonathan bought card holders from Staples
 
for $1, tapes the last card to them.  See Jonathan if you want to get involved.
 
Phil Cypher–if you just call, it’s in one ear and out the other many times.  You have to
 
visit to make it work.
 
Is That Legal pamphlets updated, soon to be posted on website
 
Len Suzio: invites anyone who wants to come to Meriden to his headquarters opening to talk
 
to him, this Thursday the 16th.
 
Wednesday at 6 there’s a meet and greet for Martha Dean, Jerry Labriola, and Linda
 
McMahon.
Thursday, 3:30-6:30 in Stamford is the protest against Obama’s endorsement outside the
 
Stamford Marriott on Tresser Blvd.    Big grassroots protest.

How to get membership involved has been a disputed matter
Decided to leave it up to the choice of the members of CCDL.  Kayla Berube, representing
 
the GOP, is the contact.  Phone banking, folding, pass out lawn signs, stuff envelopes.
 
www.ctgop.org or Scott W has her phone number and e-mail, too.
Also Kathy Brown looking for help putting up lawn signs, etc in Bethany, Cheshire, etc.
 
Apology for light agenda.  Donations accepted.
Future events:
 
Feb 19th the 2nd Annual dinner at WLOPA.  Date tenative
April, Nutmeg Friends of the NRA dinner, probably going to purchase a table or two there.
 
Next legislative session after new candidates are seated will be a look at what’s coming
 
down the pipe in legislation.
